Established in 1995 by Fujian Motor Industry Group Co. Ltd. and China Motor Corp. from Taiwan, the (50% / 50%) Dongnan Motor Corp. has been producing Delica microbuses since July 1995. Since 2003, the new share division was as follows: FMIG - 31%, China Motor - 50%, and Mitsubishi - 19%, and since 2005 - FMIG - 31%, China Motor - 35%, and Mitsubishi - 34%. Production of the DN 6445P Freeca minivan started in February 2000. The vehicle, with a 2.0-liter 122 hp plant, is based on the Taiwanese Mitsubishi Freeca. The DN 6400H Veryca minivan (based on the Taiwanese Mitsu­bishi Veryca) with a 1.6-liter 100 hp plant, and the Savrin minivan (based on the Mitsubishi Space Wagon 1997-2004) with a 2.35-liter 130 hp unit, which has been produced since March 2004 under the DN 6481H Soveran name, debuted at the 2002 Beijing Motor Show. Production of the DN 7161 Lioncel with a 1.6-liter 100 hp unit, based on the Mitsubishi Lancer of 1996-2000, started in Febru­ary 2003.
