The Dongfeng Rongcheng Auto Co., Ltd., founded in cooperation with the Dongfeng Motor Corpora­tion in 2002, has produced Dongfeng Xiaowangzi cars since 2002. TheEQ 7081 BP (a 798-ccm 54 hp unit), EQ 7101 BP (a 1.0-liter 60 hp engine) sedans, and 5-door EQ 7080 BP (a 798-ccm 54 hp plant) and EQ 7100 BP (a 1.0-liter 60 hp plant) hatchbacks develop a maximum speed of 135 km/h. Another branch of Dongfeng Xinxing Motor Co., Ltd. located in Yuan, presented the 5-door Dongfeng Xinxing (New Star) EQ 7101 hatchback with a 1.0-liter 60 hp at the Wuha Motor Show in October 2003, and the Dongfeng Xinxing EQ 7101 AF sedan with the same engine in October 2004. The cars have been produced since the end of 2004.
