A partnership between Dongfeng and Hyundai,
called Wuhan Wantong Automobile Co., produced Wa-tong delivery trucks under the
Hyundai H100 license between 1995-2002. In July 2003, Dongfeng Motor Corporation and
Honda founded a 50% / 50% partnership under the Dongfeng Honda Automobile (Wuhan) Co. name. The
firma started producing the Honda CR-V with a 2.0-liter 150 hp or a 2.4-liter 160 hp engine at the
former Wuhan Wantong production plant in April 2004. The target annual production
volume is 120,000 CR-V and Step WGN vehicles.
