Production volume in 2003 - 101,565 minivans and 17,157 pick-ups. The
company, founded in 1969, is part of the AVIC holding. Between 1982-84, it produced the CH 1010 / CH 6320 minivans under the
Suzuki Carry ST 90VT 1979-85 license. The vehicles had been offered until 2000. The new generation of the 6 / 7 / 8-seat CH
6321 (a 797-ccm 35 hp unit) / CH 6321D (a 970-ccm 46 hp plant) / CH 6328 (a 970-ccm 46 hp unit) minivans,
4-seat CH 1011 pick--up (a 797-ccm 35 hp engine, a 970-ccm 46 hp plant), and CH 1012 pick-up (a 797-ccm 35 hp unit, a 970-ccm
46 hp plant) under the
Suzuki Carry SK 410VT
1985-98
license,
debuted in 1993. In 2002, they were extended with the restyled 6/ 7 /8-seat CH 6321 Ei minivans (a
797-ccm 39
hp
engine)
and CH 6328 Ei (a 970-ccm 48 hp or a 1051-ccm 52 hp unit), the 4-seat
CH 1011
Ei
pick-ups (a 797-ccm 39 hp unit, a 970-ccm 48 hp unit), and the CH 1012 Ei pck-ups (a 797-ccm 39 hp engine, a 970-ccm
48 hp plant). A new
minivan based on the CH 6321/CH 6328 series, called the Dolphin, in the CH 6370 (a 870-ccm 44 hp unit), CH 6370A
(a 970-ccm 48 hp plant), CH 6370C (a 1051-ccm 52 hp engine) and CH 6370B (a
1078-ccm 65-69
hp
unit) versions debuted at the 2002 Beijing Mo-tor Show, and went into production in May 2003. Production of the
original Ideal CH 7111 with a 1051-ccm 52 hp engine and a body designed by Bertone started in
October 2003.
Changhe
minivans and pick-ups have been assembled in Egypt since 2000/2001.
The Jiangxi Changhe-Suzuki Automobile Co., Ltd.
established in 1999 (51% belongs to Changhe, 39% - to Suzuki) presented the 5-seat Changhe Suzuki
Beidouxing CH 6350 minivan under the Suzuki Wagon R 1993-98 license at the 2000 Beijing Motor Show.
The vehicle went into production in December 2000 in the CH 7100A/CH 6350A (a
970-ccm 46
hp
engine), CH 7100/CH 6350 (a 996-ccm 65 hp power plant), CH 7110 / CH 6350D (a 1051-ccm 50 hp unit) and the CH 7110A / CH
6350C (a 1078-ccm 65 hp engine) versions. The restyled Beidouxing CH 7120 / CH 6350B version with a new
front and a 1171-ccm 69 hp plant, and the Changhe Suzuki Liana with a 1.6-liter 106 hp engine in the
sedan and estate body versions, debuted at the 2004 Beijing Motor Show. The Liana
has been produced since September 2005. The Changhe Suzuki Morse minivan in the CH 6352A
(a 797-ccm 34-39 hp unit), CH 6352B (a 870-ccm 37-44 hp engine), CH 6352 (a 970-ccm 42-48 hp power plant),
and CH 6352C (a 1051-ccm 46-52 hp engine) were presented earlier at the 2002 Beijing Motor Show.
The Changhe Suzuki CH 6353 minivan, identical to the CH 6321 Ei / CH 6328 Ei models, in the CH 6353 (a 797-ccm 34-39 hp
plant), CH 6353A
(an 870-ccm 37-44 hp engine), CH 6353B (a 970-ccm 42-48 hp unit) and CH 6353C (a 1051-ccm 46-52 hp plant), was
released in October 2003.
