Originally, Allard produced cars in Great Britain from 1936 to 1963, including the J2 X roadsters in
the years 1951-54. Revived in Canada in1999, Allard constructed the first prototypes of the new
Allard J2X between 2000 and 2002. Series production with a target of 100 units started in 2004. The 2-seat hardtop
roadster has a 5.7-liter 420 hp V8 power plant by Chevrolet (optionally, a
5.4-liter V8 unit by Cadillac or a 5.4-liter V8 engine by Chrysler).
