Design engineer Zbyslaw Szwaj built 7 units of the Gepard
Series 1
roadster
in the years 1990-95. In July 2000 he teamed up with partners from Sweden to establish a new company - Leopard Automobile-
Mielec.
In November 2003 they presented the prototype of the avant-garde, retro-style Leopard 6 Litre Roadster,
which went into production in 2005. Its aluminum body houses a Chevrolet 6.0-liter 405-430 hp V8 engine, which
develops an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h and propels from 0 to 100 in 4.0 seconds. The plant
in Mielec plans to roll out 12-20 units per year. Price: 6 Litre Roadster from EUR 120,000.
