Production volume in 2003 - 75 vehicles. The Gepard
Series 1
roadster,
in the style of the 30s, premiered in 1990, and between 1993 and 1995 was produced by Fabryka
Samochodow Gepard. In 1996 the company changed its name to ZKA Sp. z o.o., and in
1997 to Kirkham Motors,
after David Kirkham from the USA bought 65% of its shares (the remaining 35%, which used to belong
to WSK Mielec, is now owned by Kirkham too). In mid-1996 the production of AC
Cobra/Shelby Cobra (1962-69), with aluminum bodies, was initiated under an agreement signed in 1995 with Kirkham
Engineering from the USA. The smaller 289 FIA model is fitted with a Ford 5.0-liter 300 hp V8 engine, and
the bigger 427 with a Ford 7.0-liter 425-500 hp power plant (engine options include Ford units with
a capacity of 6.4, 6.6 or 7.5 liters). The Kirkham 427 is the fastest car ever produced in Poland at 320 km/h with an
acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The vehicle is sold in the US, and since 2001 has also been exported
to Great Britain and Germany. Prices: 289/427 from USD 46,300 (with engine).
