CALSKY DESIGN CAL 1942 WILLYS

Program: SAM 1900 (Bus, Taxi, Landaulet, Kabriolet, Pick-up), CAL 1974 Myk / CAL 1975 Bryk, CAL 1976 Calster, CAL 1937 Ku-ebelwagen, CAL 1941 Czapajew, CAL 1942 Willys.

Production volume in 2003 - 2 vehicles. Established in 1995, SAM has produced the SAM 1900, avehicle in the style of the 20s, since 1999. The model range includes: Bus, Taxi, Landaulet, Kabriolet, Pick-up and delivery versions. The SAM 1900 is made of a steel frame and an aluminum chassis based on the IVECO Daily, Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Lublin III. In 2000 SAM was taken over by Kompania Samochodowa S.A., operating as Calsky Design since 2002. In 2002 the company introduced the CAL 1937 Kuebelwagen, a copy of the VW Kuebelwagen, based on the VW T3 4x4 and fitted with its engine. In the same year they also unveiled the prototype of the Youngster roadster. The CAL 1942 Willys premiered in 2004. The vehicle, based on the UAZ and equipped with a Mercedes-Benz TD 3.0-liter 115 hp engine, resembles the Willys MB from the 1940s. In 2005 the company demonstrated a number of new cars: the CAL Czapajew (a copy of the GAZ 67B, based on the Mercedes-Benz G or the UAZ 3151, with a Ford 3.0-liter 150 hp V6 engine), the CAL 1974 Myk/CAL 1975 Bryk (an open 1-seat kit car based on the Fiat 126; the latter model has a raised suspension), and the original CAL 1976 Calster roadster (in two formats: a-seater with a Lombardini 600-ccm 24 hp or a Fiat 652-ccm 24 hp engine and a 2-seater with an Alfa Romeo 1.7-liter 130 hp power plant). Plans for the future: 2008 - a cross-country vehicle with a 3.0-liter V6 unit or a TD 2.5-3.0-liter engi­ne and the original CAL 1972 jeep based on the UAZ 3151, Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser or Mer­cedes-Benz G; 2009 - a nostalgic SUV with a 3.0-liter V6 unit or aTD 2.5-3.0-liter engine. Other mo­dels currently in preparation include: SAM 1925 (a limousine in the style of the 20s), SAM 1914 (a roadster in the style of the 20s) and CAL 1938 Schwimmwagen (a replica of the VW Schwimmwagen).
