Production volume in the Philippines in 2003 - 12,500 vehicles.

Established in October 1990, the Honda joint venture (with a 54.2% share belonging to Honda and 20% to Mitsubishi) began production of the Civic in February 1992. Offered since 2001 and restyled in 2003 and 2004, a new generation of the model is based on the Japanese 2000 Civic and comes with a 1.6-liter 130 hp or 2.0-liter 155 hp unit. In June 2004 second generation City production was launched in the Philippines with 1.3-liter 82 hp and 1.5-liter 110 hp engines. In 1997 the Philippine CR- V debuted, replaced in 2003 by the second generation CR-V SUV with a 2.0-liter 150 hp plant. In the years 1996-2003 production included the City I and from 1998-2003 the last Accord.
