In January 2000 Dewan Farque initiated the
assembly of the sedan Classic (since 2002 with the CNG 1.3-liter 69 hp engine), which was produced
in Korea in the years 1986-99 under the name Pride Sedan. From April 2001 till 2004 the Spectra sedan
was produced. In May 2002 a new SUV Sportage Grand of the first generation, equipped with a
2.0-liter 87 hp engine, was presented. The targeted yearly production of Kia
vehicles in Pakistan is 50,000.
