Established in 1946, the company has offered sports
cars and replicas featuring aluminum bodies since 1952. Starting in the 80s, faithful copies of
the following Jaguar models became available: the C-Type (1951-53), D-Type (1954-56), XK SS (1957), XJ13 (1966), Lightweight
E-Type
S1 Coupe (1961-68),
Lightweight
E-Type S1 Roadster (1961-68) and XK 180 (1998) since 2005. All of these vehicles are created on the basis of Jaguar XJ or XJS
chassis as well as Jaguar plants: a 3.4-liter; 3.6-liter; 3.8-liter; 4.2-liter
or 5.3-liter V12. Tempero’s range has included
replicas of the Lister Costin (1959) since the late 80s and since 1988 a copy of the New
Zealand HWM (1956) roadster built on a Jaguar XK chassis and 3.4-liter engine. In the 90s, the offer was
expanded to include Aston Martin DBR2 (1956-60) and DBS3 (1956) replicas. In
addition, Tempero also makes the following aluminum Ferrari bodies: the
Testarossa 250 TR (1958), Testarossa 250 TR (1959), California Spyder SWB (1960-63) and Dino 196S, adapted for the Ferrari
250 GTE or Dino chassis.
