ALMAC TG

ALMAC CLUBSPRINT

ALMAC 427 SC
Program: Sabre S2, ClubSprint, 427 SC, TG.
Production volume in 2003 - 2 vehicles and 15 kit cars.
Established in 1971, Almac launched its first 427 S. C. model in March
1984, a replica of the AC
Cobra (1962-69).
This
kit car is adapted for the mechanisms employed in the Jaguar XJ6 and Ford or GM
V8 engines. Since the late 80s the TG roadster (styled after the MG TC/TD made from 1945-53) has been available,
as of 2003
as a
kit car only with a body suitable for the Isuzu Gemini chassis. In the years 1994-2003 the original Sabre
S1 roadster was produced, followed up in 2004 when its successor, the Sabre
S2, debuted. This vehicle comes with a specially designed chassis and a new
body made of composite materials adapted for a Toyota 4.0-liter 250 hp V8 or Holden V6
unit. In the late 90s a replica of the Lotus Seven (1957-73) was introduced under the
ClubSprint name, designated for mechanisms of the Ford Escort Mk2 and a Ford 1.6-liter or Toyota
4A GE power plant. Prices: kit cars (bodies and chassis) - 427 SC from NZD 12,909; Sabre S2 from NZD 11,812; ClubSprint
starting
at NZD 4,478;
TG
(body) from NZD 3,500.
