a coupe Spyker Silvestries V8 prototype. The designer reactivated on the 1st of January 2000 the Spyker Automobielen company, which presented at the Birmingham 2000 Motor Show a new road­ster called C8 Spyder. The car was equipped with an Audi 4.2-liter 400 hp V8 power plant (top speed 300 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 4.5 s) and went into production in 2002. At the Motor Show in Amsterdam in 2001, the public saw the debut of a C8 Laviolette coupe, equipped with an Audi 4.2-li-

ter 450 hp engine (top speed 306 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 4.2 s), and in Frankfurt/Main in 2001 -a C8 Double 12 R coupe (4.0-liter 450 hp engi­ne, 330 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 4s). At the Birming­ham 2002 Motor Show, Spyker showed a street version called C8 Double 12 S, powered by Audi 4.0-liter 400-450-500-550-620 hp units (300-345 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 4.2-3.8 s), and in Frank­furt/Main 2003 - a C8 Spyder T version with an Audi-Cosworth Biturbo 4.2-liter 525 hp engine (top speed 320 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 4.0 s). In De­cember 2004 a new roadster C12 LaTurbie furnished with an Audi 6.0-liter 500 hp W12 plant (top spe­ed 325 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 3.9 s) was unveiled. In 2006 a new Spyker SUV will be launched. Prices: C8 Spyder from EUR 215,000 + VAT; C12 LaTurbie - EUR 290,000 + VAT; C8 Laviolette - EUR 240,000 + VAT; C8 Double 12S - from EUR 265,000 + VAT.
