Renault cars were produced in Brazil by Willys
do Brasil in the years 1959-68. Production of the Scenic minivan (restyled in 2001), with a
petrol-alcohol 1.6-liter 110-115 hp engine or a 2.0-liter 138 hp power plant (maximum speed - 180-185 km/h) began in 1998.
The 3/5-door Clio II
(with a 1.0-liter 58 hp engine, a 1.0-liter 76 hp unit, or a petrol-alcohol 1.6-liter 110-115 hp plant) was
released on the market in 1999, followed by the Clio Sedan with a 1.0-liter 76 hp engine or a
petrol--alcohol 1.6-liter 110-115 hp unit of 2000. The Clio II and the Clio Sedan were restyled in 2003. The new Megane Sedan
with a 2.0-liter power plant or a petrol-alcohol 1.6-liter engine had its
premiere at the 2004 São Paulo Motor Show and went
into production in 2005. The Brazilian Logan will be released in 2007.
