The Pivco company, established in 1990, built 12 prototypes in 1992-94, and in the years 1996-98 a total of 120 Pivco City Bee electric cars. A new Th!nk City model debuted in October 1998. In January 1999 Ford took over 51% of Pivco Industries and changed the company’s name to Think Nordic AS in July. From November 1999 to April 2002, a total of 1,005 Th!nk City vehicles were produced. Kamkorp Microelectronic, located in Switzerland and a member of the Kamkorp Group of Singapore, bought 100% of Think Nordic AS in February 2003. A prototype of the II generation Th!nk City was unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show in 2002. In 2005, an electric Public car was presented, whose production is to be launched in 2006.
