Production volume in 2003 - 80 vehicles. In 1998 TD Cars (Malaysia)
Sdn. Bhd bought a license for the production of MG TD replicas (1949-53) from Australia and
outsourced its production to the EON concern’s
Automotive Conversion Engineering division. In Australia the model debuted in 1986 and was produced
starting in 1988 by TD 2000 Ltd. Roadsters with bodies made from composite materials, in production
since August 1999, are offered with Toyota engines of 2.0 liters and 131 hp. ACE also offers
stretched limousines of the Proton Perdana, extended by 25-66 cm. Price: TD 2000 from RM 185,136.
