Models produced in Malaysia:
Citra, Ria MPV, Kia Spectra.
Production volume in Malaysia in 2003 - 4,253 Naza and 4,751 Kia vehicles. Kia
delivery vehicles were initially assembled in the years 1996-2001 by AAI. In August 2001 assembly of the Kia
Spectra was launched with 1.6-liter 108 hp engines. In August 2003 production began on the Ria
MPV minivan with a 2.5-liter 175 hp unit on the basis of the Kia Carnival, initially
under the Naza trademark. In January 2005 the 7-seater Citra minivan was added, equipped
with a 2.0-liter 138 hp plant and under a Kia Carens license. These vehicles are made by AMM
(Automotive Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn Bhd), which belongs to the Naza Kia Sdn
Bhd joint venture.
