Production volume in Japan in 2003 - 7,093 vehicles.

In the years 2000-2003 Suzuki, 20% of whose shares belong to GM, produced the Chevrolet MW / MWS. Presented at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, the recreational Chevrolet YGM-1 went into series production with the Cruze brand name in autumn 2001. Since 2002 the vehicle, equipped with a 1.3-liter 88 hp or a 1.5-liter 110 hp engine and 4x2 or 4x4 drive, has been exported to Asian countries and, with the Holden label, to Australia. In 2004 the company launched the sporty versions Cruze S Limited II and 1.3LS S-Selection.
