years 1906
- 1910 the
company SIAD was assembling French Darracq vehicles. In 1909 the manufacture was
transfered to the Anonima Lombardo Fabbrica Automobili (ALFA) group, which
produced its first model, the ALFA 24 hp, in 1910. In 1915 Nicolo Romeo became
the main shareholder and it was he who changed
the company trade name to Alfa Romeo in 1918. In 1986 Fiat took over the state-owned
Alfa Romeo. In the years 2002 - 2004 the Alfa Romeo 156 model was assembled in
Thailand.
