Production volume in 2003 - 1,000 cross-country vehicles.

Steyr Hellas, established in 1972, assembled Steyr trucks and buses. It became independent and changed the name to Elbo in 1986. The current production program includes buses and off-road vehicles. Mercedes-Benz G-Series, equipped with diesel 2.9-liter 95 hp engines and made in 70% with local parts, has been manufactured since the beginning of the 90s. The 4-seat, recreational Elbo Aletis with a 1.4-liter 75 hp engine, designed by the German TWT company, was shown at the 2001 Frankfurt/Main Motor Show, with the production launch scheduled for 2006.
