Eric Broadley (founder of the Lola make) in
cooperation with PB Design presented the Trident prototype at the 1998 Birmingham Motor
Show. In 1999,
Eric
Broadley founded Trident Sportcars Ltd, which constructed the next 11 prototypes of the
Trident Iceni roadster between 1999-2001. In December 2002, the company name was changed
to Broadley Performance Vehicles, and the car renamed the Broadley 1-37. The vehicle,
equipped with a 3.0-liter 240 hp V6 engine by General Motors, develops 250 km/h and accelerates
from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds (option - a GM 375 hp V8 plant). Its
production started in 2004. Price: GBP 32,990.
