Aristocat 140 Coupe, Can Am M1, Gemini, Aquilla.
The company was established by the racing driver
Anthony Taylor in 1969. Production of kit cars started in 1984. The Gemini (resembling the 1957-68 Elva Courier
roadster) has its own frame and body made of plastic. Engines come from Ford,
Lotus, Rover, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, or Vauxhall. The Aristocat Sports cabrio is
a replica of the Jaguar XK 120 (1948-54) with a specially designed
chassis and Jaguar XJ6 I systems (2.8-liter, 3.4-liter, 3.8-liter engines) or
XJ12 systems (a 4.2-liter
or a 5.3-liter engine). The Aristocat 140 Coupe (a copy of the Jaguar XJ 140 1954-57) is also based on the
XJ6/XJ12.
The Can
Am M1 with Chevrolet, Rover, Renault or Cosworth plants, is a replica of the 1964 McLaren M1A. The
Aquila roadster, adapted to Ford Sierra systems and to V6 1.6-liter Ford
engines or V8 engines by Rover, debuted at the 2004 Stoneleigh Motor Show.
