ARIEL ATOM 2
Program: Atom 2.
Production volume in 2003 - 40 vehicles. The firm,
founded in 1898, has tried to manufacture cars several times in its long history. The
avant-garde Atom debuted in 1999 and went into production in 2000. It was replaced with the modernized
Atom 2 version with
2.0-liter 160-220-250-280 hp plants by Honda in 2003. The version
with a 220 hp unit develops 230 km/h (acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 sec), and the
version
with a 280 hp unit –
242 km/h
(0-100 km/h in 3.5 sec).
