AUVERLAND A3

AUVERLAND A3F
Program: A3 / A3L, A3VRI, A3F /
A3FL, A3L / A3SL Pick-up, A3SL Double Cab.
Production volume in 2003 - 300 vehicles.
In 1957 Bernard Cournil built a prototype of the
cross-country Cournil Type JA1, which went into low--series production the following
year. In 1978
the
production was taken over by Gevarm, and in 1980 by Societe I. d. M. I., which
in 1983/84
changed
the brand name from Cournil to Autoland. In 1985 Auverland, a company formed in 1984, took control of the
production. Since that time the vehicles have been marketed under the
Auverland label. In January 2005 Auverland took over from PSA the arms company Panhard.
The A3 and the A3L
(extended by 15 cm), manufactured since 1987, are available as 2- or 4-seat softtops or hardtops,
equipped with Peugeot 1.9-liter 90 hp turbo diesel engines (140 km/h). The company's product
range includes also two basic pick-up versions (the A3SL is longer than the A3L
by 100 cm) and the 4-seat
open or softtop A3 VRI jeep, with an altered body, intended exclusively for army use. In 2001 Auverland presented
the open A3
12 F5
jeep with a completely new body. The vehicle houses a TD 1.9-liter hp unit and
is released as the 4-seat A3F and the A3FL, stretched by 126 cm. In the years 1996-2002 the company
manufactured the small A5 hatchback, and in the years 1997-2003 - the 5-door A4
station wagon.
