Production volume in Egypt in 2003 - 1,931 vehicles.
In 1992 AAV initiated the production of the 405 sedan, with a 1.6-liter 92 hp power plant. The
Egyptian 406 sedan, with a 2.0-liter 125 hp unit, was introduced in 1999. Forty-five percent of the components
are of Egyptian origin. In the years 1994-98 the Citroën AX and ZX models were released in Egypt and between 2000 and
2002 - the Citroën Xsara.
