In March 1984 VW launched the production of
the Polo II in Spain. The model was replaced with the Polo III in 1994, and in 2001 by the Polo IV The
production of this model was halted in Germany in 1998. VW gradually took over Seat,
from 75%
in 1986 to 100% in 1990. Between 1995 and 2001, Seat manufactured
the Polo Classic sedan, in the years 1997-2001 - the Polo Variant station
wagon, and in the years 1995-2003 - the VW Caddy. The cross-country Polo Fun version
was introduced in 2004.
