Production volume in Spain in 2003 - 6,737 passenger cars and 61,051 Vito vans. IMOSA was
established in 1950. In 1955 the assembly of the DKW minivans was initiated, and subsequently their
production. In the years 1968-75 the company was gradually taken over by the
Daimler-Benz concern, and in 1980 its name was changed to the present one. In 1995 the Vito delivery van
was launched exclusively in Spain, and in the following year - the V-Class
minivan, which was replaced by the new Viano model in 2003.
