Baur has produced car bodies from its establishment
in 1910.
From 1971 until the mid-80s,
the range included subsequent generations of the Baur-BMW Top-Cabriolet. As of 1999 Baur has belonged to
IVM Automotive. The G-Cabrio XL with a 5.0-liter 296 hp V8 engine debuted at the 2002 motor show in
Geneva. This vehicle, extended by 89 cm, is an open Mercedes-Benz G.
