Production volume in 2003 - 17 vehicles. In 1959 Franco Sbarro built his first sports car pro­totype with a Lancia engine. In 1968 he establi­shed A. C. A. company, which in the same year in Geneva presented to the public the Sbarro Dominique II. In the 1970s and 80s the production volume totaled 50 vehicles annually. Sbarro has founded three car design schools, builds cars for individual customers and designs concept cars. The 2002 Motor Show in Paris saw the premiere of the concept car Citroën C8 Oxygene (describes as „a living-room on wheels”), in Essen 2002 - the proto­type of the GT-HDI coupe, in Geneva 2003, three concept cars: Bourlingueur (SUV based on the Ber-lingo 4x4 with a V6 3.0-liter 324 hp engine), UMA Challenge (a 4-seat station wagon with a V6 3.0-liter 300 hp engine) and UMA 3 (a three-wheeler with a 1.0-liter 160 hp engine) and in 2003 the final version of the GT-HDI coupe, christened GT-R, with a Peugeot 2.0-liter 120 hp diesel engine. At the motor show in Geneva in 2004, Sbarro demonstrated the SB1 Tornado roadster based on the Ferrari 550 Maranello with a 5.5-liter 550 hp V12 engine, the open SL Roadster based on the Mercedes-Benz SL with a 5.0-liter 400 hp unit, the Citroën Pluriel V6 hatchback with a PSA 2.0-liter 250 hp V6 engine, two concept cars - a stretched Peugeot 307 CC GPA with a 2.0-liter 136 hp engine and the recreational Citroën Berlingo Escapade with a 1.6-liter 110 hp engine, as well as the 6-door Fiat Multipla-Multidoors, 1,500 vehicles of which are due to be built by Fiat for the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. At the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the public witnessed the debut of the retro-styled ro­adster Mille Miglia based on the Ferrari 365 GT4 with a 5.0-liter 350 hp power plant, a restyled version of the SB1 Tornado, christened Tornado SB2 (5.5-liter 500 hp V12), and two concept cars: Citroën C2 V6 (V6 3.9-liter 220 hp) and Citroën C4R-PUR (2.0-liter 180 hp). Other available models: since 1998 - the coupe Crisalys based on Peugeot with a V6 2.9-liter 190 hp unit; since 2000 - the coupe GT12 with a Mercedes-Benz 6.0-liter 500 hp V12 engine (its final version was demonstrated in 2002); since 2001 - the 2+2 Christelle Cabrio based on the Ferrari Modena with aV8 3.6-liter 400 hp engi­ne and the Seb-Millenium Coupe with Ford’s 4.2-liter 400 hp V8 plant; since 2002 the station wagon XX5 (a modified BMW X5). In the years 1997- 2003 the roadster Be Twin was also available.
