GM SA, the producer of Opel vehicles, has been manufacturing Isuzu pick-ups since the mid-1970s. In the years 1998-2001 the Frontier SUV was also produced. The Isuzu KB IV pick-up, offered since 1998, was replaced with the new V generation KB model in June 2004, which is identical to the Thai Isuzu D-MAX. The Isuzu KB (4x2/4x4) features the following power plants: 2.0-liter 120 hp; 2.4-liter 128 hp; 3.5-liter 200 hp V6; 2.5-liter 79 hp diesel or 3.0-liter 131 hp diesel.
