The first Avanti coupe was produced from 1962-64 by Studebaker. Later the vehicle, in unchanged form but with new engines, was built from 1965-91 by Avanti. The new Avanti, launched October 2000, was given a new body similar to that of the classic vehicle of 1962-91 and a GM 5.7-liter 330 hp engine. In 2003 the Chicago Motor Show hosted the debut of the large XUV Studebaker SUV, which was produced as of the end of 2003 with V10 6.8-liter 310-425 hp or TD 6.0- liter 325 hp engines. In 2003 Avanti acquired production of the Lister and 904 models from Beck. Available since 1994, the Lister is reminiscent of the British Lister from the late 50s. This vehicle, with a GM V8 5.7-liter 345 hp engine, achieves a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 s. In 2000 Beck assembled a prototype of the 904 coupe, a replica of the 1964 Porsche 904. With a Porsche 3.6-liter 288 hp unit (optional engines include Porsche from 2.0-liter to 3.6-liter), the car develops a speed of 266 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 s. The Avanti SVO Beck 904 has been available since January 2004.
