ASC HELIOS

ASC CHEVY SSR DIAMONDBACK

Program: Chevrolet TrailBlazer/GMC Envoy Diamond Edition, Chevy SSR West Coast, Chevy SSR Diamondback, GTO Stinger, Helios Convertible (prototype).

Since its establishment in 1965, ASC has specialized in the production of convertibles, transforming Chevrolet TrailBlazers and GMC Envoys into luxury vehicles of the Diamond Edition series. The com­pany produces roof systems for the BMW Z4 and Mitsubishi Eclipse. In October 2003, ASC, in co­operation with So-Cal, presented a tuned version of the Chevrolet SSR - the West Coast - with a V8 5.7-liter 410 hp engine, soon followed by the Chevy SSR Diamondback (6.0-liter 500 hp) in Novem­ber 2004. The tuned Pontiac GTO Stinger and a Helios Convertible prototype, created on the basis of the Chrysler 300, debuted in a Detroit showroom in 2005. ASC also adapts various makes into convertibles.
