The prototype of the Zaporozhec ZAZ 965, produced in the
years 1960-69,
was
first shown in 1958. In 1965-94 its successor was produced - ZAZ 966 / 966A / 968 / 968A / 968M. The 1102 Tavria model was
demonstrated by ZAZ in 1984, with the first six
vehicles built in 1986, and its series production started in 1987. AvtoZAZ Daewoo company existed
in the years 1998-2002. Daewoo Leganza models were assembled in 1998-2001, with additional
assembly of Daewoo Nubira versions in 1998-2003. Since 1998 the Daewoo Lanos has been
offered, assembled from Polish CKD sets since 2000. From 2002, ZAZ has assembled Mercedes-Benz
vehicles in the SKD system, since 2003 - Dacia, Lada and Opel (Astra Classic II from 2004 assembled in the CKD
system), from February 2004 - Chevrolet, and from the end of 2004 - Chrysler 300. In December 2004 company started to
assemble, and then produce, the ZAZ Lanos T-150 model made under a license from
the Daewoo Lanos T-150.
