Karsan, established in 1966, has been manufacturing the small J9 busses under license from Peugeot since 1981. In 1997 they introduced the Partner vans (restyled in 2003) and the 5-seat Partner Combispace minivans with a 1.9-liter 70 hp diesel unit. The total production of both Partner models in Turkey in 2003 amounted to 4,774 units.
