The fifty-fifty alliance between Honda and

Anadolu Endustin Holding, formed in December

1993, launched the production of the Civic model

in November 1997. At the Motor Show in

November 2000 Istanbul witnessed the debut of

the new Civic with two engine variants: 1.4-liter 90 hp or 1.6-liter 110 hp (174-183 km/h). The vehicle

went into production in February 2001 and was updated in March 2004.
