Thai Swedish Assembly, formed in 1976, deals with Volvo
cars. Volvo owns a 56%-stake in the company, the rest belongs to Swedish Motor.
The S80 sedan has been assembled since 1999 (2.3-liter 193 hp, 2.9-liter 200 hp, turbo 2.8-liter 272 hp). In 2000 the company
introduced the V70 and the XC70 station wagons (both equipped with a turbo
2.3-liter 197 hp unit), in 2001 - the S60 sedan (2.0-liter 180 hp and 2.3-liter 200 hp) and in 2003 the XC90 station
wagon (2.5-liter 210 hp and 2.9-liter 272 hp). The S40 sedan and the V40 station wagon were
removed from the program in 2004.
