In the years 1984-2000 Honda cars were

Manufacturing Thailand, which in 2000 changed its name to Honda Automobile (91.4% of its shares belong
to Honda). At the 2003 Bangkok Motor Show, the company presented the Thai Jazz hatchback
(equivalent to the Fit), equipped with a 1.5-liter 88 hp unit. In 1996 the company launched
the production of the indigenous City - a model not released in Japan. In 2002 it was replaced with
the City II sedan, housing a 1.5-liter 88 hp or a 1.5-liter 110 hp engine. The vehicle
has been exported to Japan as the Fit Aria since 2002. The present Civic sedan,
restyled in 2003, has been in production since 2000. It comes with a 1.7-liter 120-130 hp or a 2.0-liter 155 hp power plant.
Launched in 1997, the Accord gave way to the completely new Accord in 2003, different from the
Japanese and American versions. It accommodates a 2.4-liter 160 hp or a V6 3.0-liter
220 hp unit. The old
CR-V, in production since 1997, was replaced with the CR-V II generation SUV in 2002. The vehicle is
fitted with a 2.0-liter 150 hp or a 2.4-liter 160 hp power plant. All vehicles
are made with 80% of native components on average.
