CHEVROLET OPTRA
Models produced in Thailand:
Optra, Colorado pick-up (Crew Cab, Extended Cab, single Cab); models produced
in Australia: Lu-mina.
Production volume in Thailand in 2003 - 23,346 vehicles.
From May 2000 to 2005, GM rolled out of the Rayong
facility the Zafira minivans. In June 2003 the production of the Optra sedan was started.
The model is based on the Daewoo Lacetti and comes with a 1.6-liter 107 hp or a 1.8-liter 122 hp engine. March 2004 marks
the debut of
the Chevrolet Colorado pick-up (TD 2.5-liter 79 hp or TD 3.0-liter 120 hp), based on the
Isuzu D-Max. Apart from these, the Holden Commodore is available in Thailand,
marketed as the Chevrolet Lumina (3.8-liter 207 hp V6). From March 2002 till the beginning
of 2004,

Thailand assembled the Alfa Romeo 156. Since 2003 the company has manufactured the Isuzu D-Max
pick-up.
