In the years 1999-2002, ASM Holding constructed
in Russia 14 prototypes of the Mishka, in the hatchback, cabriolet, pick-up and van
body versions. In 2003, the Belarussian Bielaz company tried to launch the production of the
Mishka. In September 2004 the Mishka-Tula-Moscow company was founded, which in May 2005 started the
production of the Mishka. In 2005, the firm intends to manufacture 1,000 vehicles. Also
founded in 2004 was the Kavkaz-M company, which as of the end of 2005 will start to
produce Mishkas. Kavkaz-M wants to construct 150 cars in 2005, and eventually - 30,000 vehicles per year.
The Mishka comes in the 1128 hatchback, 1328 pick-up, and 1728 van body versions. The body of
the vehicles is made of plastic. The cars are driven by 1.1-liter 55 hp or 1.3-liter 70 hp MeMZ power plants
(maximum speed - 120 and 150 km/h, respectively).
