Established in 1989, the company has produced since 1991 small series of trucks. At a motor show in 2001, Altkam presented a floating off-road 2992 vehicle with the following power plants: 1.5-liter 71 hp and 1.7-liter 79 hp VAZ engines, or a 2.1-liter 95 hp GAZ turbo diesel. Since 2002, the vehicle has been offered

in 3 /4 /7 /8-seat versions with a 4x4 or a 6x6 drive. The Altkam 2002 develops a speed of

80 km/h, and in the water – 12 km/h.
