Production volume in Russia in 2003 - 25,235 vehicles. In June 2001, AVTOVAZ (41.5%), GM (41.5%) and EBRD
Bank (17% of the shares) founded the GM-AVTOVAZ company.
In September 2002, the company started production of the Niva station wagon, and in
September 2004 - of the Viva sedan. In 2005, annual production is
planned for 75,000 vehicles, and eventually - 102,000 vehicles per year.
In June 2004,
the
Avtotor company started the assembly of the Hummer H2, and in August 2004 - of the Trailblazer
and Tahoe Chevrolet cars.
