At the 2004 Montreal Motor Show, the Wave 4 sedan and 5-door Wave 5 hatchback debuted, both featuring a 1.6-liter 103 hp engine. Based on the Daewoo Kalos, the vehicles are sold for the time being in Canada. Since 2004 the Daewoo Matiz I (built in Korea in the years 1997-2005), fitted with a 1.0-liter 62 hp unit, has been sold in Mexico under the Pontiac trademark.
