In 1957, ARO started the production of the all-terrain
vehicle named ARO IMS57, under the license of the Russian model GAZ 69. ARO vehicles are
assembled in Brazil, and since 2002 - under the name Cross Lander.
In 2001, at the motor show in Bucharest, the model 266 debuted, followed in
2004 by the 10.5. On the basis of the
prototypes showed in 1997, the models of a jeep named Dragon have been offered since 2003. In September 2003, the American
firm Cross Lander bought ARO.
