You Long Machinery Co, Ltd, established in June 1953, produced initially,
in the years 1956-60, the Jeep CJ5 model, and in March 1959 presented the You Long YLN 701 hatchback, made
under the Nissan 210 Bluebird license. In 1960 the company changed its name to You Long Motor, and in
1992 - to Yulon Motor. In
1992 Yulon, 25% of which belongs to
Nissan, changed its trademark from You Long to Yulon Nissan or Yulon. The AD
Resort / N-RV model was manufactured in 1993-2001. The March hatchback,
produced on the basis of the Japanese March produced in 1992-2002 since 1993, was restyled in 2000 and again in
December 2004
and has
been available with a 1.3-liter 75 hp engine. The original March Cubic sedan was
offered till 2004. The retro-styled March Verita hatchback, equipped with a 1.3-liter 75 hp engine and
designed on the basis of the March model, has been in production since 1997. In 1995 the Sentra HV sedan
was introduced, replaced by the Sentra 180/200 in 2000, and in 2003 - by the original Sentra
M1 sedan, furnished with 1.6-liter 116 hp, 1.8-liter 131 hp or 2.0-liter 150 hp engines. The Cefiro A32,
produced since 1996, was replaced in October 2000 by the Cefiro SD, and in September 2004 - by the Teana sedan,
which is available with 2.0-liter 150 hp, 2.3-liter 173 hp or 3.5-liter 245 hp V6 units. The 6-seat passenger Q-RV
Serena minivan, designed on the basis of the Japanese Serena 1999 and equipped with a
2.0-liter 145 hp power plant, was introduced in 2001 and restyled in 2003. In March 2003 the production of
the X-Trail 4x2/4x4 SUV was launched. The vehicle comes with an original Taiwanese front and
a 2.0-liter 158 hp or a 2.5-liter 180 hp engine. In October 1999 Yulon acquired 75% of Nissan Motor Philippines
shares, and in 2000 - 25% of the Chinese Fengshen company.
